Click the row number BELOW the last row you want to freeze.
Excel freezes everything above your selection. To keep row 1 visible, select row 2.
Steps in text
- Click the row number BELOW the last row you want to freeze.
- Click the View tab.
- Click Freeze Panes.
- Choose Freeze Panes — the top item, not Freeze Top Row.
- Scroll down — every row above your selection stays put.
- Done — the rows above your selection stay visible however far you scroll.
