Hold ⌘, tap Space — Spotlight opens.

Mac has no shortcut straight to Settings; Spotlight is the fast keyboard path.

Steps in text

  1. Hold ⌘, tap Space — Spotlight opens.
  2. Type "network" and press Return.
  3. Click Network in the sidebar.
  4. Click Details next to your connected network.
  5. Your local IP address is listed here — 192.168.1.42 in this example.
