Click the Insert tab in the ribbon.

Steps in text

  1. Click the Insert tab in the ribbon.
  2. Click Header and choose a style — Blank is the simplest starting point.
  3. Type your header text — here we're typing a document title.
  4. Double-click in the main document body to close the header editor.
