Notice the jump in row numbers — rows 3 and 4 are hidden.

Select the rows on either side by dragging across row numbers 2 and 5, so the hidden rows in between are included.

Steps in text

  1. Notice the jump in row numbers — rows 3 and 4 are hidden.
  2. Right-click either row number bordering the gap to open the context menu.
  3. Click Unhide — much faster than the Format menu.
  4. Rows 3 and 4 reappear — the row numbers now run 1 through 8 with no gaps.
